The aim of the Forum Board is to connect students seeking research opportunities and labs seeking research assistants. If you are a student, post your information under the “Students Looking for Research Opportunities” topic. If you are an investigator looking for a research assistant, post under “Labs Looking for Research Assistants”. We’ve also added a new space—“Beyond the Lab: Jobs, Internships & Volunteer Opportunities”—for posting and exploring opportunities outside of traditional lab settings. For directions on how to use and post on the Forum Board, click here
Hello my name is Gabrielle Riddick, I am a Senior at Rutgers University- New Brunswick majoring in psychology seeking research opportunities that will allow me to further develop my skills in psychological research and gain hands-on experience working with diverse populations. My research interests Forensic and Clinical psychology, as a Ronald E. McNair Scholar, I am currently conducting an independent research project examining the relationship between childhood trauma and criminal behavior, which has given me experience with literature reviews, developing research questions, research methodology, and proposed data collection and analysis. Additionally, through my experience as a Registered Behavioral Technician, I have gained hands-on experience with behavioral observation, data collection and documentation, implementing evidence-based interventions, and collaborating with clinical professionals. I am particularly interested in research assistant roles involving child development, clinical psychology, behavioral research, educational settings, or forensic psychology. I am eager to contribute to a research team while strengthening my skills in data collection, behavioral coding, research ethics, analysis, and research dissemination as I prepare for graduate study and a future career in psychology.
