My research focuses on neural mechanisms of decision-making and other motivated behaviors, as revealed through behavioral neurophysiology and computational modeling in nonhuman primates. Our high-level goal is to contribute fundamental insights into human brain function by leveraging the behaviors and neural architecture common to both humans and nonhuman primates.
