My research focuses on molecular mechanisms regulating dopamine neuron exocytosis and dopamine transporter trafficking in cultured neurons. We utilize and develop novel imaging tools to analyze synaptic membrane trafficking in response to addictive substances. We are also interested in addressing the crosstalk of Parkinson’s disease risk genes in drug tolerance and addiction.
