My research aims to understand how distributed neural circuits regulate reward, feeding, and motivated behavior. I am particularly interested in characterizing how these processes are disrupted by external factors such as diet-induced obesity. We use in vivo calcium imaging, electrophysiology, and viral and genetic tools to perturb and observe neural activity during behavior.
