My research focuses on tobacco / e-cigarette use and dependence, including tobacco / e-cigarette dependence treatment development, cigarette and e-cigarette use in those with psychiatric comorbidity, the relationship between tobacco use and task persistence/distress tolerance, and motivational interviewing as an approach to encourage individuals to make a tobacco quit attempt. Recently, I have also developed an interest in cannabis for therapeutic purposes (“medical marijuana”) and tobacco regulatory science.
