My research is focused on the neurobehavioral study of the underpinnings of stress-related psychopathology.  This includes identifying unique interactions between traits (including sex) and experience/history to differentially cause vulnerabilities versus resilience to the development of persistent changes in brain functioning and behavior.  As Associate Chief of Staff for Research & Development in the VA New Jersey Health Care System, I lead the research program to focus specifically on conditions of high relevance and concern to the Veteran population and their health care providers.
