RARC Researcher Dr. Morgan James Receives New NIH-NIEHS R21 Grant Award

Congratulations to Dr. Morgan James (Department of Psychiatry, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School) and Dr. Troy Roepke (School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, Rutgers University-New Brunswick), on being awarded a multi-principal investigator (MPI) R21 grant from the National Institutes of Health’s National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIH-NIEHS)! This prestigious grant will support our research project titled “The orexin system as a novel mediator of depression-like outcomes in female rats exposed to an endocrine disrupting compound during the peripubertal period.”

Funding and Duration:

The grant is valued at $431,750 and will span two years, starting February 9th, 2024 and continuing until 2026.
