Participants will learn about major revisions to the Uniform Memorandum of Agreement between Education and Law Enforcement that must be followed in all school districts, strategies for effective information sharing, tips for avoiding the school-to-prison pipeline and addressing equity concerns, and the key differences between the roles of law enforcement, including school resource officers, school security personnel, and school administrators.

The session will also include a brief review of two comprehensive toolkits developed by the New Jersey Prevention Network, in collaboration with LEGAL ONE, to assist school districts in addressing student vaping and marijuana use.
