New developments in the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal (GI) and liver disorders are complex and ever changing, with new research, clinical trials, techniques, and treatments rapidly altering the field. These advances present challenges for practitioners who are involved in managing patients with these disorders and who must stay abreast of this new information and its application in clinical practice.

The latest clinical research findings and their application to clinical practice will be discussed. Topics presented will highlight the latest diagnosis techniques, management strategies, and research developments that impact the care of patients with GI and liver disorders.

Armed with the information from this activity, practitioners who provide care for or co-manage patients with GI and liver disorders can make timely diagnostic treatment and referral decisions in the context of patient choice and resources within their communities.
