Multiple Tenured or Tenure-Track Open Rank Faculty Positions in the Rutgers Addiction Research Center/ Brain Health Institute

The Brain Health Institute (BHI; brainhealthinstitute.rutgers.edu) and Rutgers Addiction Research Center (RARC; addiction.rutgers.edu) are excited to announce a major hiring initiative. We are recruiting FOUR tenured or tenure track faculty members at the Assistant/Associate/Professor level across our four research domains: Basic/Translational Science; Epidemiology, Etiology, & Prevention; Treatment & Recovery; and Public Policy. Candidates for senior faculty positions will be considered for Associate Director roles, with the opportunity to lead the growth of targeted research areas within the RARC.

The RARC, an initiative of the BHI, is a new translational research center that brings together researchers from across all Rutgers campuses, medical schools, and health systems for collaborative, interdisciplinary work focused on tackling addiction. With over 150 faculty already working across the domains of Basic/Translational Science; Epidemiology, Etiology, & Prevention; Treatment & Recovery; and Public Policy, the RARC is the only comprehensive addiction center in New Jersey. The RARC creates opportunities for collaboration and community, bringing together faculty with a passion for innovative, cross-disciplinary research who are employing cutting edge approaches to studying substance misuse and other behavioral addictions. These activities are supported by the largest university-based human cell and DNA repository in the world as well as multiple affiliated Centers, such as the Center for Tobacco Studies; Center for Alcohol and Substance Use Studies; Center for Gambling Studies; Center for Advanced Human Brain Imaging Research; Center for Computational Cognitive Neuropsychiatry; Center for Risk, Resilience, and Prevention; Center for Population Behavioral Health; Center for Youth Social Emotional Wellness; Center for the Genomics of Psychiatric Health and Addiction; and the Center for State Health Policy. Additionally, RWJBarnabas Health, the New Jersey Veterans Administration Health Care, and two teaching hospitals provide opportunities for clinical care and research.
